Drowning (2016)
A neck piece that is made up of plastic water bottle caps that are connected together with a series of copper pins. The piece holds tight around the wearer's neck and goes all the way up to the nose, to make the wear feel like they are being suffocated by, or are drowning in the bottle caps. This piece is inspired by the Pacific Trash Vortex, the island of trash floating in the Pacific Ocean. That if we continue to use the mass amount of plastics that we use, it will continue to fill our oceans and we will eventually be drowning in our own plastic trash.
